Inspirations....

With 2010 approaching and a clean house at my fingertips, I'm feeling inspired and ready to focus on new creative outlets. To help with the inspirations, the search on google and my magazines have begun and there is a lot out there. Besides being an overall amazing entrepreneur & artisan, Martha Stewart is at the TOP of my list. Her website & magazine are a huge source for inspiration. If you love Martha, like I do, check out Body & Soul - both the magazine and website. Amazing. Clean. Inspiring. You won't be dissatisfied.

Some of the other fabulous inspiration "igniters" is House & Beautiful Magazine & Better Homes & Gardens. Both show amazing solutions to many questions. Organization, Color combo's, Small spaces, New & Old spaces, Gardening & more. I love it. Because I don't have a lot of space to spare on my magazine obsession, I cut out pages that strike me and and create Inspiration Books. Easy Peasy. Although, My Martha's & Knitting Mags always stay fully intact. I mean, hello....

One of the things that has always been a huge passion is reading and unfortunately, I put it far to the wayside. Well, no more my friend! I asked around for some great recommendations and am so excited to start on them. They will surely help in the inspiration process.
  • YOU Being Beautiful
  • 12 Secrets of Highly Creative Women, a portable mentor
  • The Shack
  • Happier
I'm working on some new pieces for 2010, a new office collection that I am antsy to start, new pins for young & old gals alike & some new items for uber cool organization. With our new little one coming, a house hunt under way and winter staying fast & furious we have a lot going on.

In the meantime, here are some images that linger in my mind in the hopes of being turned into something....

Very awesome and VERY inspirational!!! The photos at the end were all so vibrant and full of color and I am feeling motivated by the same kinds of things right now. I am just devouring any images that are full of light and color. I guess I'm just ready for spring! :)

I can feel the energy from your blog. LOVE it! Thanks for the book recommendations to. The Shack is probably on my top 3 favorite books ever. It was such a healing book for me :)

This is a timely post, Megan, and, as Amber said, very inspirational!

I sub to MS's Living mag, but I am tempted by Body & Soul too...I just saw my first copy (yeah, can you believe it?) 2 weeks ago. Yummy!!

I subbed to BH&G for a bit, but I never thought of cutting out images that inspire me. Great idea!

Thanks Ladies!

Amber - Im looking to take a class to teach photography like in those photos - they are amazing!

Melissa - Ah thanks! If you have any recommendations, please share!

Teresa - Yes! Cut out and save. I have binders set up for crafts, recipes, kids ideas, sewing etc. I label them and each one is in a plastic sleeve. They are my "go to's" for creative ideas. The "book" is snippets of everything. Pics, images, colors anything that gives a surge of energy!
